STORY GATHERING FOR JUSTICE

As community organizers, you are already very skilled in gathering stories from the community. This training will provide additional guidance and practice in gathering stories for policy change, advocating for social justice, and speaking to the media and elected officials. You already know the stories, this training will help you make sure the stories are remembered and heard. 

We Will Discuss:

•How story works in community building and what you already know 

• How to ask storytelling questions when you are talking to a 

     community member

• Practice on each other in break out rooms with questions from our    

     question sheet about the specific stuff we need for the bill 

• How to turn the stories into useful data for PPFS 

•Report back and share the stories with us as talked about above

• Logistics for getting us the stories
