In October, the Project Protect Promotora Network successfully launched networks in the Western Slope region, the Southeast region, and North - Subregion 3. Cultivando offered three promotora training sessions and Colorado Legal Services: Migrant Farm Worker Division provided three legal rights training sessions. On October 31, promotoras from across all regions attended a COVID-19 health training run by the Western Slope Regional Organizer, who is also a healthcare professional. In total, the network received over 188 hours of training this month focused on culturally responsive resource navigation for agricultural workers in Colorado. Additionally, the Regional Organizer for North - Subregion 2 has been onboarded and is recruiting Promotores and Neighborhood Outreach. Even as the growing season is coming to a close, the network reached 284 in the agricultural community this month.
